Skills & Moves reset

Post  Joe Chin on Tue Nov 04, 2008 10:49 pm

Could someone with TP to burn tell me what this actually does? The broken English description of this new feature really isn't making any sense.

Just to make it clear, i do not plan on using this offer.

but makes you able to redo your build, while taking away your moves and move levels. You keep your current wrestler level though. So you lose all moves you have and move levels. including trademarks. However you keep your finishers. Then you get the money back from the points you spent training your character so you can re train him. and there will not be a wait time, for you to re-train your character.

well thats pretty much all i understood of it Smile

Thanks. That and the message sent by the admins earlier makes a LOT more sense than:

"To purchase a total zero resetting 'skill + moved' 50 TP"

Now that the question is cleared up, I think we should voice our opinions (probably 100% agreed on it being bad) on the new feature.

After hearing about it, and grasping what it really meant, I adamantly choose not to use it.

Your build is who you are, it shows all the decisions you made over your gameplay and wrestler's career for good or bad. My build may not be perfect (it's far from it honestly), but I still like it and take pride in what I've made of my wrestler. This may be the samurai in me talking, but it's the way I feel.

That being said, I do think the trainer (10% less training time for a week) and the bonus EXP (10% extra for a week) are good additions.

I'd feel less guilty about using it if it were
a) a one-time offer
b) more expensive each time you use it
c) allowed once per 5 levels (with a hefty cost)
or even
d) if it cost something tougher to obtain than just 50 bloody TP

Now I don't know why the hell you'd pay so much for this game, but this is just too skewed in favor of those who just want to pay for a great character. And why they thought it was a smart idea to make it EASIER to level-sit is anyone's guess.

I have to agree with what Samurai posted. The part of me that likes winning really wants to do this, because it's been explained to me how to abuse it(I won't share that here, but most of you probably already know or will know). But I like that the game was letting me make mistakes and still win, because other people did too. I don't need an optimized build to have fun. Plus, the story teller in me doesn't want an unbeatable character, then there is no drama. Or the only drama is in the arms race that's set to happen among those with the 50 TP and willingness to exploit it. So, while tempted, I'll continue to do this the same old way.

Trainer for exp and training time, however, very cool ideas.

You can always count on the Irishman and the honor-bound warrior (samurai) to have some sense of integrity lol

lol gotta love vince

but I think this would be ok, I mean you get to redo your build and for someone like me who has fucked there build so many times only doom could possibly find another way to fuck it Laughing

I would use it but I think I am starting to turn my build around.

This is a way for TWG to make more money because there will be people buying TP just to fix their build. But for some, that restart their wrestler, this is a quicker way to do it rather then restarting. I don't think my build is bad enough to spend 50 TP to fix. But I do like the shortened training. Very nice idea.
